Assignment #1 (due Thursday
January 17)
Read Chapters 1-2 of Curzan and Damour.
Prepare a first draft of the syllabus for your section(s).
If you don't have all the information you need (section number, day,
time, location), make it obvious where that information will be added.
For instance you might put:

Bring 3 hard copies of your first draft with you to the first
session of Econ 301, Thursday January 17
Ultimately, I will want you to submit your second draft of your
syllabus to me via bspace (http://bspace.berkeley.edu).
But until you are enrolled in the course, you can't access
bspace. So you have until August 29 to submit the 2nd draft via
bspace.
Assignment #2 (due Thurs &
Fri, January 24 and 25)
Submit your final draft of your syllabus via bspace (assignments tab, as an
attachment) no later than noon on Thursday January 24
Submit a one-page letter of introduction of yourself to me.
If you can, please include a photo. In your letter of
introduction, include your name and any other information about
yourself that you'd like to share with me. Submit this via bspace
(assignments tab) either
inline or as an attachment. Due no later than 8 a.m. on Friday
January 25
Post your letter of introduction to the discussion board on bspace no later
than 8 a.m. on Friday January 25.
